The location is good and easy access to teh beach front. It is convenient to super markets and it is at reasonable rates.
The hotel can easily be upgraded at very little cost and give a better appearance. Service can easily be improved.
Good hotelbar (Sweli the bartender!), good food in the restaurant
Service at the pool could be more assertive
Loved the view but water pressure on the 20th floor was very weak and the temperature either very hot or very cold. Not pleasant showers! Also requested a hairdryer and an iron twice but it was never delivered, despite being told yes.
Enjoyed the breakfast very much and swimming pool. Great location. Booked early so paid a good price on Booked.net.
The rotating restaraunt. The chearfulness of the staff.
The state of levators and the carpet.
The staff did attempt to make our stay more comfortable and the drunken disorderly behaviour of the other guests was really out of their control. In saying this it may be advisable to advise your guests when booking for conferences to remember that they are in a public place and a hotel at that. Other guests find drunken disorderly behaviour very offensive. I hope you see this as valued critisim.
The Hotel was in a bit of disrepair, old and dank. Our room 1302 did not have a nice clean odour and the windows did not open.
The revolving restaurant is very similar to the Empire Landmark Hotel in Vancouver Canada. Both offer an opportunity to view the Cities from all angles. Our meal in the restaurant was excellent and gave us a chance to sample some of the local game.
No problems noted.
The television stations stopped playing. ( for atleast 30 minues)
The breakfast was included with the room rate. It was a buffett breakfast with more selections than I expected. It was pretty good.
I could hear street noises pretty clearly even being on the 10th floor.
The room & bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was very good value for money. For anyone not looking for anything too fancy, this was a decent hotel. Kettle, coffee & tea provided in room also, which was a nice bonus.
The water pressure wasn't good, it took almost 30 minutes to run a shallow bath. The room wasn't very well soundproofed so you could hear all of the corridor traffic and elevator noise from inside the room.
The breakfast buffet selection and dining room were the best features of our stay.
the view, champagne next to the swimmimg pool (beautiful pool)
coffee machine in the room leaked water - when I wanted to use it and poured water in the container, it ran out at the bottom of the machine
great view of the water front.
tried to check in 45 minutes before 2 as my child had fallen asleep in the car. the lady at reception refused to do so as "the room was not ready"-this is not acceptable.we had travelled from another city.As a frequent guest at other hotels(Protea,StayEasy & City Lodge Group),staff usually try to accomodate guest requests when small children are involved.Perhaps your group should re-think this? the first room air conditioning did not work and the windows were not operational. we were moved to another room as i wanted to find alternate accomodation.
The breakfast was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpfull overall this was a value for money experience
On our first night our tv did not have good reception but it was fixed promptly after we reported it
Really good price and quite near to the coast.
